Chad Sharp joined Internal Audit in October 2002. He was named Regents Chief Audit Executive in January 2024. In this role, he is responsible for overseeing the auditing efforts of the Regents enterprise. He previously worked for three and a half years as an account manager, financial auditor, and process/compliance analyst for a local telephone company. Chad earned a BA and MBA from the University of Iowa. He is a Certified Internal Auditor, a Certified Information Systems Auditor, and a Certified Fraud Examiner.

Josh Randall was promoted to Assistant Director for Internal Audit in June 2024 and is responsible for overseeing the University of Northern Iowa and Iowa State University Internal Audit functions. Since joining the Office of Internal Audit in 2019, Josh has served as Principal Auditor for the University of Northern Iowa, as well as conducted audits at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics for University of Iowa’s. He previously worked as a Financial Institution Examiner at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. Josh earned a BA in Economics and Business from Cornell College. Josh is a Certified Internal Auditor and Certified Fraud Examiner.
